Jane Lumm has served as Second Ward Council Member since 2011. This year she is running for re-election to a fifth term. Her opponent is Linh Song with no prior city council experience.
There have been a number of reveals of the candidates’ perspectives on the issues facing Ward 2. They include video summaries, a text-based voter guide, and three debates.
Ann Arbor’s Community Television Network provided an opportunity for each candidate to record a 3-minute video summarizing their priorities and goals for the position.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) asked candidates to provide answers to four questions: 1. What in your education and experience make you the best qualified candidate for this position? 2. What are your goals should you be elected and how will you work to accomplish them with current resources? 3. What would you like to see happen with growth and density in Ann Arbor in the next ten years? 4. How do you plan to communicate with the residents in your ward? Here is a link to the Guide.
Given the constraints imposed by Covid19 distancing requirements, all three debates were conducted over Zoom.
