Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope this finds you and your family healthy, safe and well.
Thank you for visiting my 2020 re-election campaign website. Please come back often before the August 4th primary election.
I’ve decided to run again because I want to ensure the 2nd Ward continues to have a strong advocate on Council and neighborhood friendly, hands-on, service-oriented representation. Realistically – with Ann Arbor still conducting its local elections on a partisan basis and shifting local elections to even years only – all city elections are now decided in the August Democratic primary which is where I’m running.
It’s been a privilege and pleasure to serve as your 2nd Ward representative on City Council since 2011. I’ve worked hard to keep my promises to you – to proactively address key 2nd Ward issues; to bring an independent, common-sense perspective and voice to the council table; and importantly, to be a responsible steward of your tax dollars. With the COVID-19 related financial challenges facing both the city and our residents, fiscal responsibility will be more important than ever.
I’ve also worked hard to increase meaningful resident and neighborhood engagement in decision making. That, too, will be especially important going forward as the city considers major policy questions on land use and zoning as well as in the necessary prioritization of scarce financial resources.
It has been an honor to serve as your 2nd Ward representative and I’m hopeful I’ve earned your support on August 4th.
Most importantly, please let me know YOUR issues and concerns. See the “Jane Listens” tab of this website – I’d love to hear from you!
